In our modern sheet metal fabrication facility, laser cutting is the first process for the majority of parts. To ensure the highest levels of quality and precision alongside a fast turnaround, capacity for large production runs and reduction in energy costs Tek-Neek recently invested in the latest fibre laser machine with automation from Amada.
With this investment we can process mild steel, stainless steel, coated steels, aluminium, brass, copper and exotic metals ranging in thickness from 0.6mm to 12mm with a maximum sheet size of 3070mm x 1550mm. With the automated loading and unloading tower system we can process up to 9 tonnes of raw material of different types uninterrupted. This lights out capability allows us to run 24 hours a day giving us huge cutting capacity at highly competitive prices.
Fibre laser machines require an assist gas to disperse the molten metal when cutting the components. For high quality cutting nitrogen is used and Tek-Neek have invested in a nitrogen generation plant to produce our own nitrogen. This in house production is an alternative to deliveries of bottled nitrogen reducing costs and helping us reduce our environmental impact. We can also cut certain materials and thicknesses on compressed air at very cost effective prices.
